Austrian Economics Re-Examined:
The Economics of Time and Ignorance.
is an expanded version of the second edition of The Economics of Time and Ignorance (Routledge, 1996).
It contains the full text of the latter plus the previously-unpublished essay “What is Austrian Economics?”, the New Palgrave entry “Austrian Economics:Recent Work” and a new Introduction. The first essay is a comprehensive overview of the central themes of the book analyzed from a somewhat different point of view than in the book itself. It supplements the analysis of the book. The Palgrave essay reviews some major contributions to Austrian economics from the mid 1990s to the mid 2000s. The new Introduction explains that both the 2007-8 financial crisis and recent developments in behavioral economics have made the book more relevant than ever before.
